Marketing Executive

We’re looking for a proven professional ready to pivot — someone with a strong track record in digital marketing, PR, content, or project management who’s ready to step into a broader, more strategic marketing role.

Salary: £28500 - £35000
Location: barnsley
Type: Full-time

We’re looking for a proven professional ready to pivot — someone with a strong track record in digital marketing, PR, content, or project management who’s ready to step into a broader, more strategic marketing role.

If you’ve already managed clients, delivered campaigns, and thrive under pressure — this is your chance to take ownership, contribute to meaningful work, and play a visible role in how we grow.

You’ll join a creative agency working with global brands, where ideas move fast, independence is valued, and commercial thinking drives everything we do. A successful 6-month term may lead to a permanent, full-time role — with genuine scope to grow your impact and become a trusted, influential voice within the company.

What you’ll do

  • Lead day-to-day marketing activity across client and internal projects.
  • Manage and deliver digital campaigns — planning, scheduling, and analysing performance.
  • Create and adapt content for web, social, and promotional channels.
  • Support SEO and analytics to drive visibility and results.
  • Contribute to PR, partnerships, and events — connecting digital and traditional marketing.
  • Work directly with clients, building relationships, shaping briefs, and ensuring delivery excellence.

You’ll fit this role if you:

  • Have 1–4 years’ proven experience in marketing, PR, content, or project-based roles with client-facing responsibility.
  • Communicate with clarity and confidence — able to represent ideas and guide clients effectively.
  • Think strategically and commercially — you understand how marketing drives growth.
  • Learn fast, adapt quickly, and bring energy to problem-solving.
  • Are highly organised and capable of managing multiple workstreams.
  • Have hands-on experience using Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, or similar tools.

You might be coming from:

  • Digital marketing (social, content, SEO, or paid media)
  • PR / communications
  • Content creation or brand strategy
  • Project management with exposure to marketing
  • Creative roles ready to broaden into integrated marketing

Growth & opportunity

You’ll work closely with senior strategists and directors — gaining structured mentorship, exposure to strategic planning, and room to expand your capability.

As a reward for strong performance, you’ll have the chance to become an integral part of the team, take on increasing responsibility, and grow into a leading voice within the company as we continue to scale.

Contract details

  • Contract: 6-month fixed term (pro rata)
  • Potential: May lead to a permanent, full-time role
  • Salary: £28,000–£34,000 (pro rata, DOE)
  • Probation: 3 months (within contract term)
  • Location: Barnsley (studio-based with hybrid flexibility)

  • 20 days annual leave + bank holidays (pro rata)
  • Company pension scheme
  • Flexible working (core hours 9am–2pm, occasional WFH)
