Problem first

The best apps are built to solve real problems.

Start your next project This way

Custom iOS, Android and web app development for businesses.

Custom iOS, Android and web applications, built around your users and the way your business actually works. Whether it's an internal tool for your team or a customer-facing app, we start with a thorough discovery process, mapping the processes, the users and the outcomes before a line of code gets written.

Our in-house design, development and infrastructure skills mean we can build for any sector, from startups launching a first product to established businesses replacing software that no longer fits. Everything's intuitive, scalable and ready to grow through new features, integrations and changing business needs.

FAQs

App development questions, answered.

Fixed price, agreed before we build

How much does it cost to build an app?

Every app is different, so we scope in discovery and quote a fixed price for a defined first release. Price moves on how many features, how many platforms, and how much it has to talk to systems you already run.

One codebase, both app stores

Do we need separate iOS and Android apps?

One build, usually. React Native ships iOS and Android from a single codebase, so you pay once rather than twice. Native earns its place for heavy device features or demanding graphics. Your feature list decides.

The right build for how people will use it

Do we actually need an app, or would a web app do?

Often a web app is enough, and it costs less and skips app store review. A native app earns its keep when you need offline use, push notifications, camera or location, or when people open it several times a week.

Build it all, or build it in phases

Should we start with a smaller first release?

Discovery maps the full picture either way. Some clients build it all in one go, others phase it and let real use shape what comes next. Both work. Phasing reaches the stores sooner and tells you what to build next from real use.

You'll know what running it costs, not just building it

What does it cost to keep the app running after launch?

Apple and Google charge for developer accounts, operating systems update every year, and an untouched app eventually breaks. Most clients take a retainer covering updates, fixes and store compliance, quoted separately so you can see what running it costs.

You'll always know where the project stands

How long does it take to build an app?

We supply a schedule at the end of discovery, once we know exactly what we're building. It'll account for the parts people underestimate: design, testing, app store review, and connecting to systems you already run. Dates we can hold, rather than dates that sound good.

You own it, and you can take it anywhere

Who owns the code when the app is finished?

You own the app, the code behind it and the store listings on final payment, all handed over so another developer could pick it up tomorrow. It's in our contracts as standard.

Bring what you've got, we'll do the rest

What do you need from us during discovery?

Time with the people who actually do the work, and whatever you already have: process notes, spreadsheets, screenshots, a list of what goes wrong. You don't need a specification. Discovery produces one, which is why it comes first.
