So, we decided to build something that worked better for us, and our clients too.

Our lightweight monitoring and security platform built to give us a clearer view of the infrastructure we manage, without the usual enterprise overhead. 

At the heart of it is a small collector that runs across environments and keeps track of things like server health, resource usage and software versions in real-time. They all feed into a central dashboard that gives our engineering team a simple, live view of everything we’re managing. 

On the security side, awesome. optics integrates with CrowdSec, using community-driven threat intelligence to spot and block malicious traffic before it becomes an issue. 

For us, it’s all about proactive monitoring. If something looks off, whether that’s rising memory usage, unusual traffic or a potential security threat, we can usually catch it early and deal with it before it affects performance or uptime. 

We also wanted to get rid of the “black box” feeling that can come with managed infrastructure, so every client gets access to their own dashboard view to see exactly what we see. 

Ultimately, awesome. optics helps us spend less time manually managing servers and more time improving the products we build for clients.
